ABOUT THIS IMAGE: The original shot was of a single egg painted in abstract expressionism fashion, and using a fast shutter speed (1/500th sec) to freeze-capture the long paint run-off and droplet.

The old English proverb, “Better late than never,” is very important in photography. All of the photos in this post were originally photographed in 2015. I stashed them on a hard-drive, and then only recently found these image files and many others that still need editing. I suggest creating a good digital organization system for your raw files. You may not get to these files right away, as in this case, I am getting back to these files seven years later. Thus, if you have lots of raw files waiting for editing, you should attempt getting back to them: If you took the images, you probably thought there was something interesting there in the first place. Revisit these images and evaluate if you feel the same way as when you took the images. You may be surprised at what you find, and glad that you did.
Yes, these images are considerably abstract for my Non-Abstract Photography blog; however, the message is important for both of my blogs.

ABOUT THIS IMAGE: This is a 3-light setup: A small light with a green gel on the background. A blue gel on the key light for the silver cup. And, a purple gel on a light, powered down to give a slight purple shadow. Ice was placed inside the cup to create the condensation. There are other ways to create condensation on objects, but this is what I used.
